D*ck Dodd/Standells

Real good look at Dodd's Rogers set and notice how he moved the Rogers logo sticker to the bottom of the skin but you can see a smaller Rogers label put in it's place. Not normal Standells attire they were asked to dress for the show.

Great clip man! emoticon
I've seen pictures of Buddy Rich with the Rogers logo on the bottom of the kick so it wouldn't interfere with his logo.

Re: D*ck Dodd/Standells

The Standells were a garage band from the 60's that just about every punk band from the 70's mention as an influence. They had just one big hit but had some other songs used in a couple movies, played a couple songs by the Beatles in an episode of the Munsters and had a song "Try It" radio banned. They had a rough edge to their sound and were not the band back then that your parents would approve of. emoticon Drummer D*ck Dodd was also a member as a kid of the Mouseketeers I believe. Some of their songs I like are Barracuda, Medication, Sometimes Good Guys Don't Wear White and Riot On Sunset Strip (used in a movie) They still get together for an occasional appearance. That stick twirling is great I wouldn't have the balls to try that on national t.v. in front of millions and I couldn't spot a backup stick in case he dropped one.
