New member question on swivel hi hat
Hi,
I have a swan leg swivo high hat. My question is how the bottom bolt for spring tension works, clockwise to increase tension? Is is also possible to remove it so I can get the spring out?
On my stand the bolt turns clockwise before it appears to stop , counterclockwise is loosens to a point but then also stops, is this normal? Anyone take theirs apart?

Have not worked with the high hat tension screw, so not able to offer much advice. But you should be able tell the difference with the tension from full clockwise and ful counterclockwise.

Thanks, turns out the inside key had been stripped so no tension. I’m experimenting with different springs and a spacer sitting on the bottom tube to see if I can get a tension I like, any suggestion for a spring?
