B&B lugs for resto projects
Been a faithful Beavertail devotee since first Holiday set in 1968 but with some recent acquisitions, I now have some B&B restoration challenges:
1)22 in dia X 12 deep Holiday bass without any lugs, drum has script logo on top, Holiday Cleveland tag serial 28226, needs 20 ridged B&B lugs with 1 5/8 hole spacing
2) 14 in dia X 5 deep Holiday snare Eagle badge, no script with the swivo collet for bass drum mount, clockface strainer, this one has cracked and missing B&B lugs, need 4 snare drum ridged B&B lugs minimum, 2 1/8 inch hole spacing
3) 20 in dia X 14 deep Holiday bass, Eagle badge, no script, need 8 - 10 bass drum ridged B&B's with 2 1/8 inch hole spacing
Aware of the JP2 $30 repros, unfortunately too expensive for a practical resto. Also the new Rogers diecast are interesting but aren't the true original style and are only for the snare so far. I can deal with the epoxy reinforcement procedure, seems practical on the original lugs either cracked or still intact.
Am looking for a network source or referrals for these lugs from the community.
Thanks for your help!

Re: B&B lugs for resto projects
If you want to reenforce the lugs with minor cracking, I have the bass drum lugs left over from restoration project. Can send a set of 10 with single minor cracking on the back end of the lugs. Include internals with felts and springs. Might have screws if I look around some more.
Email me for pictures if you like. [email protected]

Re: B&B lugs for resto projects
Bump.
Just taken on a lovely early 60s kit with failing bread and butter lugs. About half have been replaced w/ JP replacements and I'm going to do the epoxy or fibreglass repair on the others, but it would be good to have a few spares of the following:
- springs & nuts
- tension rods
- rack tom BnB lug casings
- floor tom/kick BnB lug casings
Holler if you have any for sale. I'm UK based if that makes any difference.
Jim Petty's not making the repros any more and of course i'll keep a look out on eBay. Just figured i'd start with the Rogers fans.
Cheers
Colin

Try this link above. This is the official Rogers drums. They have exact reproduction parts. The lug are 11.00 not 30. And it is the original specs.
I hope this helps

Re: B&B lugs for resto projects
Thanks Kev,
I'm going to try out repurposing these as rack tom lugs (i think the mounting hole spacing is right and i'll find some way to fill the hole for the second tension rod).
But Rogers have no plans to make single-sided tom lugs, either rack tom or floor tom/kick size (I know cos I emailed them).
So, yep, if anyone out there has any spares for sale, let me know and i'll prob be able to use them.

Hi C. Here is a link to how to repair B&B lugs. This was done by one of the original members of the forum.
