rogers
Hi everyone. My name is Mark...from San Diego. I'm not exactly new to this forum. I was on it several years ago but the recession in 2008 changed my focus for several years. I am an avid Rogers collector, not as much of a player anymore. I have a collection of vintage Rogers drums including a massive Ultra power swivo fullerton set from around 72/73 in New England white(24 inch virgin bass drums). I have another smaller (22 inch virgin bass drums) swivo set in ebony black. I have an older Bop set 18/12/14 (very rare); also a beautiful 1967 londoner set in red glass glitter with wooden dynasonic; cleveland silver sparkle 20,12,16 with powertone. I have a wmp 3 piece set (can't remember year) with wooden dynasonic and matching cannister. I am 63 years old. My first snare drum purchased in grade school was a red sparkle powertone. I used it in junior and high school band. I also gigged with a red sparkle 3 piece red sparkle Rogers 20/12/16 throughout grade school high school and college. I am always looking to purchase more Rogers drums including Wooden dynasonics and 14x14 floor toms. I also love the twin bass drum sets. Does anyone know if Rogers ever made a double bass drum set with 20 inch bass drums. I could swear I saw someone playing one as a kid but would love to know for sure. I'ver never seen another one. Thanks...Mark

Oh, did you leave the building? LOL
Great to have someone with that much collection in their possession talking to us again. Do you remember how to post pictures? We love those.

Re: rogers
Welcome back.
Any of the Rogers configurations could be had with the sizes the buyer wanted.
For example, the 'Louis Bellson Twin Bass' could have been ordered with 20, 22, 24 etc bass drums.
Or even a pair of 18's, for that matter.
The sizes shown in the catalog for each configuration were the 'suggested' sizes. The layout was the main thing, not the sizes.
Sounds like a fantastic collection you have there...
