Removed from the list!

I had such a convincing response from this Billings, MT Rogers guy that I removed him from the list and will send him an apology! The following is his response:

"I really appreciate the heads up. I can't seem to find the post or topic of discussion. Did you post this there or was it someone else? I take an accusation like that very seriously as I don't consider myself a "parts stripper". I know the type you describe and I find it just as sick as you do. I've seen some pristine collectible drums where someone decided to completely strip and sell for parts. I have never done and never will do that. For example I have a set of Rogers xp8 shells where the wraps are literally falling off, and so no one would ever possibly use these drums without rewrapping them. These are not original or collectible drums so I feel justified in taking parts from these and offering them to the drumming community in need of parts to restore original and collectible drums. In the past 10 years I have restored literally 100s of original and collectible Rogers drums, among the 1,000s of collectible vintage drums I have restored. Let me tell you that none of this would be possible without parts to complete these drums and hence without some parts drum. These parts are a very necessary aspect of any vintage drum restoration and that is why I don't think I should fall into this category with actual drum strippers. All of my parts have come from drums that either have extra holes, have or need a rewrap, or are obsolete marching drums. I would appreciate any feedback you or members of your forum may have because I really don't want to confuse the issue. I think it's important what you are doing, but I have to protest when just because I am offering a large collection of vintage parts for sale on Ebay I am listed in the same category as actual drum strippers."

I'm not so sure about countertop. He's been hitting eBay pretty hard lately with parts at really high prices. Tons of lugs, heads, shells.

Call me suspicious.
