Hello, Rogers owner since early 70's when my parents got me the set at around age 10. My son is now 10 and into drumming so it's time to clean up the old blue sparkle Londoner(?) and get it ready for the next generation. I have already been utilizing this great forum for the major task of cleaning/restoring the set that has not been played in close to 30 years and was unfortunately stored in a garage/carport in Florida.
To the best of my knowledge it is a somewhat cobbled together 1970/71 Londoner with:
12" and 13" mounted toms (Holiday, Fullerton)
16" floor tom (Powertone, Fullerton)
14" snare (Powertone?, label missing)
20" bass drum (Holiday, Fullerton)
I started the restoration in late June and have been taking a few pictures that I will post in the "Restoration" section.
Thanks to all for the great posts and comments that have got me going with this project and helped me catch the drumming fever again. My son might need to get his own set since I plan on playing the new/restored Rogers set a lot.
John
PS. Basement band in high school was "The Hollow Earth Band"
