Changing B&B Lugs to Beavertails

I have a early 60's floor tom that is missing most of the B&B lugs and the ones that are there are cracked.
So looking at using Beavertails on the 3 ply shell which means making the holes in the shell a little bigger.
Wondering if anyone has done this and what problems and results you had.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Changing B&B Lugs to Beavertails

You'll be lowering the value of the drum if you drill it out. The three best options are: finding replacement B&B lugs, buying the Petty stainless steel replacement lugs, or reinforcing your cracked lugs using the Propxy20 method as described on this forum.

Please don't drill the tom for beavertails!
