Can any of our resident Gurus tell me if Rogers produced a 10 inch double headed XP8 tom?

Yes they did. The Garibaldi kit came with 8x8 and 8x10 double headed toms. You can see it in the 79 XP-8 catalog under the catalogs thread.

A set of tobacco sunburst XP8s in 8 and 10 inch sizes along with a 4 piece matching kit showed up on eBay about 10 years ago. I didn't need the kit, but I coveted the two toms on a Memriloc stand. Wish I'd pulled the trigger on those goodies.

I have an 8 x 8 and a 10 x 10 XP8. I think they even made a 6 x 6?

It was actually a 8x6. 8 inch depth, and 6 inch head size.

Thanks, Guys! What a wealth of Rogers information you are. I love this forum. I only hope that as cooler weather sets in more of our Gurus have time to post.

It took me 5 years to find one, but two years ago, I did end up with a 10x8" Midnight Mist XP8 tom.

Okay Guys, here's another question that is sort of related. There is currently a red 6x8 inch XP8 DH tom for sale on Ebay. The seller calls the color California Wine, though it looks like Mojave Red to me. I thought that all XP8s save for the Natural Maple and the TSB were wrapped. The seller of this drum says it's finished with a sprayed on finish. What say you? Cheers, Scott

that finish is on the up and up. The mojave red was a wrap. The California wine was a spray on lacquer finish. Not all finishes were wraps. The tobacco sunburst was a lacquer finish also.

Here is a picture of Rod Morgenstein's kit that was a California wine finish.
