6.5 Big R Supertens

drop box link

Just got these home. Found on CL. The strainer has been replaced with a no name on one. The batter heads are all Rogers. Two reso heads are Rogers but one is destroyed. All missing snares. The drums all seem to be in very good condition. Two have sequential serial numbers. Seller told me he bought them at a school auction.

Dear Lord, how did I not find these!

Is there anything written inside?

And date of manufacture for the 101xxx serial numbers is January 1983. During the week of the 23rd. On or about that date.

There is nothing written on the insides.

I usually try to do my own research and answer my own questions with these things, rather than be the guy that shows up, posts once, and says, "here's what I have, can you tell me what I should charge for it on Craigslist or Ebay?" With that said I still have two questions for the experts:

1) Is the missing strainer a standard Big R strainer?
2) Do the sequential serial numbers do anything to the value of this lot?

Standard strainer......... with the rivet top knob is the correct one for this era. Consecutive serial numbers only mean something special to someone dumb enough to buy both of them, like me.

Thanks for the strainer info.

I must fall into that same category because they meant something to me when I saw them.
