Re: Dynasonic Snare Frames

Thanks guys. I actually don't break snares, i just find they lose some of their sparkle after a while. I don't crank them much in general as i hate the chocked sound

There actually is a snare bed on the COB Dynas. It is much shallower than most but it's there if you look at it on a glass top. The guy here who does all my drum repairs (also has is own line of acrylic drums and a kick pedal) measured it and advised a 14 strand wire was ideal for this bed.

I agree they sound better with the snare frame but also find they buzz even with the snares off and that can be very annoying in some gig situations.

Re: Dynasonic Snare Frames

I have a Dyna serial # 48297

What year is that from, my guess right now is '72 - '74

Which version of the frame is the correct one? Version 3 or 4?

Thanks!

You will be wanting the square end frame, as your drum has the Big Hole Gate Hoops.

Thanks!

Though, I don't think my bottom hoop is the large hole one. I'm not sure of the naming convention, but my hoop is a 3-part and looks like this:
