bass drum hoop inlays
Just bought some blue glass bass drum hoop inlays from precision in New York, just wondering if anyone has a technique to remove the old ones without damaging them, and what about the nails? Can I remove them and reuse? Also if I repaint the hoops, is there a specific black that is very close to factory? Thanks!

Re: bass drum hoop inlays
I ended up using a 90 degree pick tool by craftsman and it worked perfectly. It also helped scrape out old metal polish from the collet threads.

Re: bass drum hoop inlays
Thanks for the update. I have a pair of hoops that have the wrong color inlay and I want to change them. I'd love to see pics of the finished job.
