Removing Tape Residue from wrap

What would you use to remove the old glue residue from a large piece of tape that had be left on a drum for long time?

Thanks Mike

That can be done several different ways. GooGone, a citris smelling cleaner, works OK so does small amounts of WD40 followed by a cleaner to remove the WD40.

Slow and carefully does it. Always test a very small area first to make sure the surface won't react negatively.

I second the Goo Gone vote. Not to be confused with Goof Off(paint remover). Looks like a great kit!

Peace, Gary

Thanks Mainedrummer & Gary!
I will be getting to work on that as soon as I log off. I was up until 4 am cleaning the snare and putting it back together. Now for the floor tom. Be back with the results later today.
Thanks again, Mike emoticon
