Just added the 14" and 15" toms. Thoughts?

Looking good Jeff! 15" XP8 is a surprise. Didn't know you were out hunting for one.
That's a thunderous row of toms-12 to 16...

Re: Show Us Your Sets (NEW)
I love the layout of that set jazzycat.
How do you use the three sets of cymbals over your rack toms? I'm thinking they must be separated by a felt washer, but do you hit them together?
I go both ways on the number of pieces in a drum set - a few can make you more creative, but a lot and there's all those voices to use.
I really like the way the set is placed (displayed?) in the room, not hidden away in a basement or sound room.

Re: Show Us Your Sets (NEW)
Those are actually just the bells of old damaged Zildjians turned upside down. I found them on ebay for next to nothing. They have a nice ring to them. They are separated by felt and I don't generally hit them at the same time. The 15" was just a steal I got on Ebay. Iy fits really well.

Re: Show Us Your Sets (NEW)
What is the make and model of your rack system? I actually only need the front so I can mount my XP8 toms.

Re: Show Us Your Sets (NEW)
All my stuff in the different setups:
The original - 2x24-12-13-16-18 and the Dynasonic snare.
Bonham inspired Big Rock - 24-13-14-16-18
This is the set up I use the most now-a-days - 22-12-13-16 and the Dynasonic snare.

Re: Show Us Your Sets (NEW)
-md: all your set ups are nice. I use the same as your last one. Looks like you're pretty secluded there. Good thing, once you start wailing on your Bonham set up on the deck! Lol!

Re: Show Us Your Sets (NEW)
mainedrummer - In my house it's just myself and my 17 yr old daughter who also plays the drums so the kit gets a place in the "family" room. I had this PDP rack already with my Tama kit so when I bought the Rogers kit from Bigtone23 I decided to keep using it. Sort of a mix of vintage with new age I guess. I'm very comfortable with the setup as it is but I will probaby keep tweaking it for fun. The Memrilock tom arms are very solid as you know and they lend themselves to rack mounting very well. Those toms do not move at all... Bigtone23 - I bought the 15" off EBAY for $90.00 - in my excitement from finally having a Rogers kit I guess. It sounds just fine in the mix with the other toms.
