Re: Rogers on the Bay!
fultngreg - do you only have the one 22"? The one on ebay is good, but in my case I'd rather have one that didn't have any mounts, or extra holes in the shell. One of my 24's has 4 holes to mount a bracket to hold the hihat stand and the other doesn't have any holes. I mount my toms on a floor double stand or on a clamp from the cymbal stand.
I've also been watching for a 22" shell, I've seen a couple but I just haven't acted on any of them yet.

Rogers 1964 to 1968 or so in good condition 14" x 14" floor toms complete all original with Knobby legs go for $800 to $1200 depending on the color wrap and of course condition, chrome, pitting, scuffs, scratches, etc..

I just built one for my 62 set. The legs and nobbies, these have more curvatur to the nobbies and legs are taller, a mistake in the sellers listing and an email to ask size got them for 90, an unfaded shell in awsome shape 340, and B&B lugs uncracked, had 4 and bought 8 uncracked for 45, these are the hardest lugs to find, once again hadda asked seller the size.. 2 Tall boy hoops, bought one for 19 and the other from a raped snare {same size}. and a oval logo head in very good cond I bought at the CT drum show for a buck! I'd appraise it for about 5-600.

Re: Rogers on the Bay!
Heres a new angle on the Rape of Rogers on the Bay.
This guy strips down Dynasonics, parts them out, then sells the shell after hes drilled extra holes and popped in generic lugs and a crap strainer.
Raped Dynasonic
Thing is.........hes done this several times And has 100% feedback.

Re: Rogers on the Bay!
It isn't much consolation but he is honest in the description - but his name says it all "dirtydan"
I wonder why he thinks he knows more than the designers of the Rogers' snare? I've always heard the sound of their snare drums was partly from the special snare strainer.

Re: Rogers on the Bay!
I've seen alot of so called "retro fit" Rogers snares that people have done, and I gotta say, I think it sucks! I think it would be one thing if a person didn't have all the right hardware, then again, most of the hardware is available on the bay and other source's! I sure hate to see good Rogers snares buggered up like that! olddrummer

I've noticed this too...
You can buy a complete Dynasonic snare for $200, then sell the lugs for $80-$100, the snare frame for another $100 or more (I've seen just the tension screw go for $50), the muffler for $30-$50, strainer, butt, t-rods... then spend a few bucks on some heads and crap parts and sell the shell for $150. I'd bet this guy profits over $200 on his original $200 investment. It sucks, but technically he isn't doing anything to get negative feedback.

Re: Rogers on the Bay!
The part I find most amazing is that there are people stupid enough to buy one of his butchered Rogers snare drums.

Re: Rogers on the Bay!
I bought a whole snare drum for less than this. 2 rusted 14" rims for 152 bux. http://cgi.ebay.com/2-14-Vintage-Rogers-High-Hoops-Rims-60s-B-B-Holiday_W0QQitemZ330120063045QQihZ014QQcategoryZ41451QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
