Learning aids you have used.

What teaching medias have you used? Are they worth the investment of money, time and energy?

There is a lot of stuff on YouTube that is like movie trailers related to web sites, DVDs from Hudson, Vic Firth, and other drum companies.

Also, what books do you regularly work from?

This could be sort of an open discussion on the excellent, good and just plain bad/worthless.

Well, shoot, now I see Jack started one like this titled Practice.

My first entry was going to be what was suggested to me for getting used to using the new double bass pedals I got: Stick Control - playing a basic 8th note on a ride cymbal or hi-hat with the back beat on the snare and playing the exercises with the basses. I've tried it and it is a challenge!
