DO YOU NEED English Rogers Badges?

Hi there

If you've been reading the posts here you'll know I've been trying to get some English Rogers Badges made. A big thanks to NutBox who has lent us a badge to use as a template!!

We have a solution to Laser cut the badges from Brass and Chrome plate however, there is a set up cost for this (£150) and since I only need 3 badges this is quite steep.

IF we can make 20 badges the cost will be spread and this will make the badges £12 each (+P&P) - which I think is pretty reasonable bearing in mind the US versions sell for £25+ on eBay and the English ones are extremely rare!

If I can get orders for 16 or more from you lovely people in need of badges I will go into a production run of 20 or more (depending on interest). I'm not making any profit here, just trying to cover the cost to make it affordable for me and everyone who needs one.

SO if you're interested post on here - once I have 16 orders I'll set up an eBay auction or something.

IF we don't get so much interest there is an option to Cast them (as the originals were made) but this is a one-off process - I'm looking into the cost of this as a second option so if the numbers are low this may be the way to go.

So, if you'd like a new set of badges for your English Rogers Kit (or perhaps just one as a replacement) at £12ea (+P&P) let me know on here please!

Thanks!
P

Hi Percie
Might be worth posting this on the Dolbear vintage section as well. There are a few ER owners there.
I will count what I could do with but busy this weekend.

Percie - are you still thinking of producing these badges? If so, I could do with a couple myself. If there isn't much interest here, I think producing a few and putting them on Ebay would certainly lead to a few sales. There must be a lot of people in need of them. Let me know if there's any possibility.

Cheers,
R

Cut them out of polished stainless {1-3 Ra} of the same thickness. Its cheaper than Chrome plating. You can also cover the front with tape then remove it after they're cut. Also a good tip is cut them from the back, you'll see less imperfections on the front.

Cheers for the tips Rogersaholic!

We were going to cut them from something softer than stainless, like copper, because people who have tried this have said they won't bend around the contour of the drum!

We haven't heard from Percie in a while. I would suggest that you PM him if you want logos. Not sure he is watching.
