For Tommykat...

Brian Setzer's band, with drummer Bernie Dresel
rockin' out on a cocktail drum kit.
(Didn't know it could be played this way.)
Enjoy, Tommy.

Brian Setzer w/ Bernie Dresel

Snuffy...Yeah Baby! I love it!

The Rogers Astoria and Parklane can easily be set up to play standing or sitting. And the Upbeat pedal has fantastic action. Very versatile.

This kind of combo is what I'm digging right now. I usually use brushes or whips, but this guy Bernie Dressel has it down with sticks. Very, very nice. What a great little solo, too.

Thanks for the link, Snuffy. Should be mandatory viewing for all...

...It's all about the music!

Pretty cool to see someone like Brian Setzer have there drummer playing a cocktail. I didn't particularily care for the flame painted cocktail drumset, or bass...It didn't seem to fit the whole Christmas motif. I think Stew McGoo's red sparkly goodness would have been a way better fit for the christmas theme...But Brian Setzer can do whatever he wants...He's made his million. emoticon

Last Saturday I went to Levon Helms Midnight Ramble in his studio in Woodstock NY.....he had Jack DeJohnette as a guest playing a cool cocktail kit off to his right...very very very cool....the entire show was a once in a lifetime experience. I also ran into Simon Kirke in the audience.
Can you say drummer heaven ........

anyone that is able should check the Ramble out soon...it is beyond belief...........
