Re: Check the butt plate 1938+1939 ENGLAND
Me!????? I errr....... me?...........
I never liked Premier or Olympics, although they were my first kits. To be expected over here.
I'm newly in to all this so the only thing I know about at the moment is English Rogers.
I got an Ajax Nu-Sound snare the other day from the late 60s and I was struck to see how similar it was in principle to yours from thirty years earlier.
Circular bar with two threaded holes, obvious way to do it I suppose.
No Gary mate, you are out there on your own. Admire the detail you find and your tenacity to keep on searching but the Dolbearians are your best bet I think.
Best of luck.

Re: Check the butt plate 1938+1939 ENGLAND
Most of those Dolbearians seem to be into the 60s and 70s Premiers, but hopfully someone will get back to you.
The Ajax is simply Blue Pearl. It is the same pearl that they used on the later English Rogers and all Ajax ranges (Edgware, Stratford). It is to go with my Red Pearl Ajax Nu-Sound for now until I find one of the correct colour. Seem very rare though so may be a long wait but you manage to find all kind of rarities so there is hope for us all.
