Rogers 20-12-16 Dayton/Big R Marriage
The 20 I got from Jonas......remember that guy? It had a most horrendously botched recover on it. Peeled, cracked and bubbled. So, I recovered it in a sheet of original Rogers Silver Metallic. Came out nice. Did that in the fall of 2001. And since I downsized from the super set, I had extra drums... so the 12 had a new mission in life. I bought a 16 off ebay, swapped out the memrilock POS mounts for some Fullerton Swivos, and .... here it is
14x20, Dayton, speckled, virgin. 1968
8x12, Fullerton Big R, 1976
16x16 Fullerton Big R, 1978-79 originally with memrilock mounts. They play real nice together.

Great looking drum set, looks ready to play. I'll bet they sound great.
I really like the look of your hands playing brushes.

I think the most striking feature is the natural wood hoops.
It is a very pretty kit . . .

Ploughman, and you other gentlemen, I have to say--again--how blown away I am at this website. I really didn't know that there were other Rogers junkies like me, and now I come to find out that most of you have worse addictions than I do! LOL. (More power to you, and God have mercy on our souls.)
PS: If you have never read the classic tome "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance," read it NOW. Everybody here embodies the spirit of that book. Very deep, very relevant.
