Close Tomk 8 10 12 13 14 16 18 22 22. You could make 2 sets outta these. 8 10 12 16 22 for fusion or 12 13 14 16 18 22 for a classic set up. I think its more like a white satin than silver.
I dont like the way they were set up or the way Ive seen these set up. I dont like reaching and having them way up high and towards the front onna set. I like em close n tight to the snare. Everything is off the snare on the sets I play, the closer the better.
I think I did good on this set for 6 beans. Its a players set and is what I wanted. With a lil help could be a collectors set.
Theres even original XP8 heads on the front 22's tho ones got a hole cut into it. The rest of the pinstrips are lightly used and sound good too. So Im good for awhile.
I'd love to throw hydro heads on em all. I love bottom end and these have it. No mufflers on any, jus those clip ons he gave me. The hydrolics will solve both problems sustain/ringing and wet fat bottom end. Aint cheap tho 210 bux! OUCH!

Yes, the XP8s did not have mufflers, but came standard with the clip ons.

Wow. 6 beans for all that. It doesn't get much better than this...

Its a great set in a lovely color. Before I downsized to my current one up two down set, and before my second bass drum finally gave up the ghost..... I had twin 24s, 8-10-12-13-14-15 with 16 and 18 floor toms. The 8-10-12 on the left above the hats, and 13-14-15 across the front. Big beautiful set that never went anywhere.

Yeah, it's hard to pack something like that without a paid assistant and a big van!

I was pondering why all the lables are inverted. I think I know why now. This must be a lefty set.

Labels inverted? How so? Your pics don't show labels. They are concert toms, so they can't be upside down. I'm confused...

If the toms went from right to left vrs left to right by smallest to largest, they would prolly be correct.

Re: Show us your sets.

Okay, so these aren't XP8s. I thought they were. The XP8s have the labels facing opposite the mount. The earlier 5 plies have the badge to either left or right of the mount, depending on whether Tom, Dick or Harry was assembling them that day. If you ordered a full set, you might get lucky and have matching labels facing out.

See the interview with John C in the Fullerton section.
