Re: Great Swivo Idea!

I've been using these hex collets on Stew McGoo (my Parklane cocktail outfit) since I restored it in February. I use this drum set regularly, and I set up/tear down six or more times a week.

These things work GREAT! They are a godsend. A lifesaver. Takes me no more than 15 minutes till I'm ready to play, or out the door.

ah, the 70's! good times!

Ha ha! +1. Spent 1970 being breast fed, 71 learning to walk and talk, then the rest of the decade was a blur until 1977 when Star Wars came out.

I have used small stainless steel hose clamps to do this exact thing since the 60's. not as pretty but just as functional and a whole lot cheaper. An added bonus is the hose clamps will form around a hex shaft and will hold the weight if a collet nose cracks.
