I have the DVD of this performance.
I watch it often... just to see this number.
I love brush work... and Rich shows himself to be a master of it.

He also is playing one of those split 2 peice shell snares. I quess that he had no intentions of playing the 16 or 18 as he left his coat laying across them. The man has an increadible left hand. Using it for the rhythm and carrying the melody with his right, while making it look so easy. Some awsome brush work.
