They build your muscles and endurance. That's why it's so important to do ever increasing tempos and different exercises because your muscles will get used to certain levels and you won't get as much benefit. I learned that when I was doing step aerobics. After a while I wasn't able to get my heart rate up and was no longer losing weight. My muscles got used to the exercise. So, to make a long story longer, do different routines and keep taxing yourself to higher levels. I hope that all makes sense. I'm putting this on my shopping list. Thanks! nondisclosed_email@example.com (tommykat1)Mon, 07 Jan 2008 22:42:18 +0000 Beatnik RA1200Phttps://brogersownersforum.runboard.com/p11657,from=rss#post11657https://brogersownersforum.runboard.com/p11657,from=rss#post11657Just about a week before he died Bruce sent me a Beatnik Rhythmic Analizer. He wanted my opinion on the thing. Well, all I can say is...I love it! It's a great metronome to start with. I do all of my stick control exercises with it and increase the tempo ten beats at a time and wow. I'm starting to see the difference already. It will tell you if your ahead of the beat or behind and measures your dynamics and so many more things that I haven't even got to yet. Plus it has a great pad with a nice feel and it's built like a tank and is probably bullet proof. I think this is one of the best practice tools that I've ever used and I don't have a dog in this race. I would highly recommend this tool. Use it every day on all of your exercises and you will see the difference. Jack nondisclosed_email@example.com (musicbybj)Mon, 07 Jan 2008 14:03:28 +0000
