Don't understand you guys...

I don't understand what the problem is here. You guys sound like it's a crime to part out a set of drums. I buy old sets with obvious problems and take them apart knowing it will go beyond a restoration project. So what's the big deal with me doing that? Where would you guys go if you needed a part? I sell at fair prices and most people are happy as per my rating. I know all about Poodler (Gayle) and her outright rip off prices. But not all these guys are like that. I respect you for what you all stand for. Just try to understand what guys like me are trying to do. I'm [sign in to see URL] I may have a part you're looking for one day. Thank you

Re: Don't understand you guys...

The problem we have is taking perfectly good sets with no issues, and pulling them apart piece by piece for the most profit.

When you see a seller has a shell, lugs, tension rods, rims and mount hardware all listed at the same time, you know the drum was in good shape before it was pulled apart.

Kinda like taking a perfect 63 Impala and selling it bolt by bolt.

No one here has a problem taking drums with issues and using them for other drum restoration.

I have bought from you and will continue especially now I know how you do business.

I thank you for the support. I live in the NJ/NY area so it's easier to find old beat up sets, most with rust and cracking issues. It started when a neighbor gave me 1/2 a bass and I sold it as parts on EBAY. In the past 4 years I've had guys from all over the globe buy from me and do my best to treat people fair. That's the bottom line.

I may need the part but that doesn't mean I want to get reamed in the butt by someone that charges twice the market value for the item.
