Re: Repeating!
Powertone, the keyboard shortcuts are:
Ctrl + a highlights the text (same as "Edit, Select All")
Ctrl + c copies the text (same as "Edit, Copy")
Ctrl + x cuts the text (same as "Edit, Cut")
Ctrl + v pastes the text (same as "Edit, Paste")
HOW TO COPY AND RENAME A LINK IN AN ROF POSTING
1) Copy the link into the Windows clipboard. (You already know how to do this. Ctrl + a, then Ctrl + c are the keyboard shortcuts that make it easier than clicking "Edit, Select All" and "Edit, Copy.")
2) Next, go to your ROF posting and choose "Insert Link." This opens the "Enter a URL" dialog box.
3) You may choose to delete the "HTTP://" verbiage that's already there, but it's probably highlighted anyway, so it will be deleted automatically in the next step, as long as you don't errantly click in the box and de-highlight it.
4) Hit Ctrl + v. This pastes your link into the dialog box exactly as it appeared on the web page that you copied it from.
5) Click OK.
6) The next dialog reads "Enter name of this URL (can be left blank)." This space allows you to give a name to your link. You can call it anything you want, but DON'T leave it blank.
7) Type the name for the link and click OK.
THAT'S IT! Your link, with the special name you gave it, will now appear in your post.

Re: Repeating!
Thanks Tommy. TommyKat1 helped me when I was having the same problem. His explaination is sooooo much better than mine. Again thanks TK. I'm going to copy this and put a sticky on it.
Powertone, you are one of the best citizens we have here with a wealth of knowledge about our beloved Rogers. Others were having the same problem also. I had the same problem and deleted a bunch of my posts so you were not being singled out. Sorry!

Re: Repeating!
I got it. My computer was blocking the scripted window. I just needed to allow it and that took care of the problem. Thanks.

if you would use the "Insert Link" feature when posting links. eBay, Utube, etc. I don't want to keep asking this but it makes it much easier to navigate a post if you don't have to scroll.
Simply copy the link you want and then when you post click on "Insert Link" a small window will open and then hit "control v" and another window will ask you to name the link eg. "Purple Snare" and that's all there is to it.
If it keeps happening I will start deleting posts and I don't want to do that.
Jack
me too i got it. My PC was hindering the scripted window. I simply expected to permit it and that dealt with the issue.
