Re: 10 inch XP8 tom
Thanks, Kevin... Now the entire kit is listed for sale. 6, 8, 10, 12, 13, 16 and 22... Supposedly custom built for Mark Herndon of the band Alabama in '82. I love the color and the price seems fair... $1300. I wonder if John C. would have any knowledge of this kit? Cheers, Scott

Re: 10 inch XP8 tom
Very nice kit. I think 1300 is reasonable. Not sure about the Mark Herndon story. He was a Gretsch endorser at this time. but who knows. Still a nice kit.. one thing I can tell you is sometimes this lacquer finish gets these spider web type cracks in it. they wont show in the pictures very well. I have repaired a couple of toms from different people with this finish and they had the same cracking pattern. So I would ask about it. If that does not bother you then it is not a big deal.

A set of tobacco sunburst XP8s in 8 and 10 inch sizes along with a 4 piece matching kit showed up on eBay about 10 years ago. I didn't need the kit, but I coveted the two toms on a Memriloc stand. Wish I'd pulled the trigger on those goodies.

It was really a 8x6. 8 inch profundity, and 6 inch head estimate.
